CRD provides Artificial Insemination Service, vaccination, deworming, etc. CRD strives to: support poultry growers to establish adequate linkages on their own; and support the young entrepreneurs.
In one of the CRD’s worming areas i.e. Mirza under Kamrup District, most of the people are resettlers coming from Palashbari area after flood erosion of the mighty Brahmaputra. Thus, they have smallholding of land resulting into problems of earning their daily livelihood. Either they have to go for daily wages or to migrate to Guwahati for rickshaw or thela (hand cart). Because of smallholding, livestock farming is the best activity to be taken up by those people especially women.
Providing DOCs & other inputs & marketing in a phased manner -Short term credit assistance for sustenance of the piggery farmers/ young entrepreneurs -Establish ‘Fund for Insurance’
Generate employment in rural areas based on local resources & practical/sustainable development -Empower women & rural poor with necessary credit assistance & other links
