Map of Gender Violence The federation of women Lawyers-Kenya (FIDA kenya) a non-profit , Non-partisan membership organisation through diverse interventions is committed to creating a just society that is tree of all forms of discrimination against women. This is based on the realization that women form th majority of Kenya's polulation play an active and significant role in the development of society. The women of Kakamenga were urged to be open of the challenges and face them. With 16 days of activism against gender based violence with the aim of stopping it cross the country and Kakamenga county was not to be left out. Read more.

Cleaning & Employing Our Youth

Map of Cleaning & Employing our youth My name is Walter Omodi Otieno i am living in Dandora Estate in the county of Nairobi We have started a group to collect gourbage and cleaning of the estate We have mobilised the youth from poor backgrounds to facilitate garbage collection. The project has help employ about 80 youths. The residents are paying a small fee of 40 shilling for every household.The MOney they pay we use for buying working tools and equipments also lower salary for now the area / Estate is clean. Kakamega Forest

Map of KAKAMEGA FOREST Kakamega forest is one of the largest and well known forest in Kenya that is under control of the Kenya forest service.whoever over the last decade and early this decade of 2001 and 2010,certain people or hardware business men and women have been finding their way in the middle of the forest and cutting down trees for first this was not noticed but as time went by,the luhya community in kakamega could tell of the changes in weather patterns because the effect had become evident and a very big percentage of the forest had been destroyed. in 2008 the Kenya forestry service moved and put a strong team of forest service officers to protect the forest and in some time in 2009 some people were arrested and charged in court for cutting down trees in the forest.the practice stopped and today the forest has revived and has or is serving as a tourist destination to both citizens and non-citizen. Rehabilitation And Reclamation

Map of Rehabilitation and reclamation Floods were too much in Kano plains and Ahero this lead to loss of shelter,land and properties.For this, people from Europe came to rehabilitate and develop the area they built water reserves to hold high volume of water people now became self employed and got money for a living.This restored back the living standards of people and lead to development in the area. Importance Belongs To Everyone.

The kenya woman foundation is helping many in kenya both how income earners and potential business woman in the country to acquire loans from the organisations. the big organization is even coming to the grass roots levels at the kibera slums in nairobi. A group of twenty fire woman come together to form a chama. They decided that they would concide with the rules and regulations of the organisation they offer loans for, -paying school fees for children(Tausi account) -business expension loan. -starting of a project e.g water tank project. This organisation helps the woman in making their lives better. with the loans, the woman are able to pray school fees for their children once while they pay slowly. the other member can pay for the woman are given a year on completing the loans that they have acquired from the organisation.
