Dell employees have been volunteering in the schools G.H.P.S. Appareddy Palya (kannada), G.H.P.S. Jogu Palya (Tamil) , G.H.P.S. Jogu Palya (Urdu) schools. The kids are children of day laborers and have requirement of basic reading and writing materials. Dell employees during the interaction with the children in the schools routinely come across situation where there is a need that they can fulfill individually. They can do so by funding Sikshana through Global Giving website.
The children in these schools are children of day labourers and are unable to afford the basic needs required in primary schooling. The volunteers who are in direct contact with these children will be able to understand the issues and come up with an appropriate solution.
By fulfilling the basic needs of the children the volunteers and teachers in the schools can motivate the children to focus on learning.
These kids with the right education will be able to break the social barrier and move up economically in the society.
