About the Organisation: Sugam Jagriti is a registered Social humanitarian organisation working with the aim "To establish a self reliant and equal society with the value of peace, equity, Justice and homogeneity''. Sugam Jagriti work for the betterment of poor people regardless of religion, caste, race, ethnicity or gender.

 Sugam Jagriti is Registered Under Societies Registration Act 21/1860, Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) by Ministry of Home Affairs, Income Tax Exemption u/s 12A & 80G.

The organization focus on developing resource pool from the same community through developing their skills and capability in various community issues, so that they can be a resource for the community. Communities co-invest with them and donors by for the programmes, deciding and implementing them. They involve Community Based Organizations (CBOs), PRI, corporates and individuals throughout the world as partners and supporters of integrated development in Bihar.

We are actively working for increase self confidence, betterment, Dignity, Self Care Training and Support for Leprosy affected persong

Self Care Training support & Health Checkup  support to a leprosy affected Person

Mr. Kishun Manjhi,   (Name Changed)   age 41 Years is effected by leprosy disease. He belongs to Parwalpur Block, Dist.- Nalanda.  He is the poorest of the poor class and belongs to Schedule Cast family . He is separated by family and society due to leprosy disease . It is due to myths and misconception concerning leprosy at the society . Hence he get a secondary status in family and community and main reason is social myths . There is false believe that it is incurable disease. When organization people visited they see A young youth Mr. Ram Naresh Manjhi as help less , than further decided for support. They provided Self Care Training and health Checkup and also trained on life style as life skill . The organization also brought her to the Primary Health Centre and provided complete proper treatment . He is getting continuous health check up and treatment. It results his condition has improved and developed self confidence and leading a prosperous life . The organization sensitization efforts has minimized myths and misconception in the community. , there is favorable change in community believe concerning leprosy patient . Now believe developed that it is curable if having proper treatment. After health treatment & Self Care Training health status of Mr. Kisun Manjhi has also improved . He is also started getting support from family and society . He is living a healthy and prosperous life. He extend his thanks to SUGAM JAGRITI and The Global Giving Foundation for changing his life. He say without support it was impossible for him to lead a normal life.

The organization has extended support  to 13 leprosy affected persons with the kind Support of The GlobalGiving Foundation. The support has improved means as a leprosy affected person is completly ignore by family and society. Society and even family members hesitate to sit with a Leprosy affected person. A leprosy affected person live in very miserable condition.

Mr. Ram Naresh Manjhi (Name Changed)  age 38 Years is a leprosy patient living at Chandi, Dist.- Nalanda.  He belongs to poor Schedule Cast family and don’t get any support from family as well as society due to leprosy disease . There are lot’s of myths and misconception concerning leprosy at the community and treated as a secondary person due to social myths . They have believe that it is incurable disease. When organization people visited they see A young youth Mr. Ram Naresh Manjhi as help less , than further decided for support. They provided Self Care Training and health Checkup and also trained on life style as life skill . The organization also brought her to the Primary Health Centre and provided complete proper treatment . He is getting continuous health check up and treatment. Kamlesh Kumar (Name Changed)  age 29 Years is a leprosy patient living at Noorsarai, Dist.- Nalanda.  He belongs to poor family and don’t get any support from family as well as society due to leprosy disease .
