Many behavior problems in dogs are caused by a lack of physical and mental activity. Dogs were born to lead active lives - lack of purpose leaves dogs no positive outlet for their natural tendencies, which often lands them in shelters.
Many behavior problems in dogs are caused by a lack of physical and mental activity. DOGPAW's goal is to have and keep available standardized safe off-leash dog areas, in Clark County WA, for active happy dogs and their humans.
Your support will help us keep these dog parks running with basic amenities like; fencing, walking paths, kiosks, waste bags, waste bins, benches, and to add water & port-a-potties. Dog parks offer a place for exercise & socialization of both dogs and their humans, in which dogs can run freely off-leash. This keeps dogs and their humans mentally & physically active (happy).
To have safe off-leash dog areas open with basic amenities, primarily for citizens of Clark County and surrounding communities, providing dogs and their humans space for mental & physical activity. Active dogs are happy dogs and less likely to be lonely, overweight, or have destructive behavioral problems.
In my own experience and the testimony of others, DOGPAW dog parks have helped both dogs and their humans to exercise and socialize, being more active, happy, and less apt to have behavioral issues.
