D4K helps the kids in low-income communities by teaching them the importance of exercising and education. The children also learn life lessons such as team work, nutrition, discipline, and how to set and obtain goals.
D4K will be conducting 6 after-school programs located in Florida, Washington, and California. Through the after-school programs, we will work with over 280 kids to instill in them the importance of higher education & an active lifestyle.
Total Funding Received to Date: $5,865
Remaining Goal to be Funded: $4,135
Total Funding Goal: $10,000
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
Kids who are taught the importance of higher education often return to their own community and become mentors to the younger generations to show them the opportunities that school opens. This formula will help each community prosper.
