We fund diabetes education conferences for families that would otherwise be unable to attend because of finacial reasons. These families are given an opportunity to hear from world reknowned physicians and clinicians on the latest advances and technology available in managing their child's diabetes. The long term affect that attending a conference has on a family is that their children will lead healthier lives. We believe that we are empowering through education.
We award scholarships for families to attend diabetes education conferences. These families would otherwise be unable to attend because of financial reasons.
Total Funding Received to Date: $378

This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
We give families an opportunity to attend diabetes education conferences. They would otherwise be unable to attend because of financial reasons. Long term they are better equipped to manage their child's diabetes which leads to healthier children.
Attending a conference is a life-changing experience. The Diabetes Scholars Foundation has changed the lives of many children but there are many more who could be helped.
