Becky Bavinger moved to Calcutta in 2007 to work as TEN’s liaison managing orders, school sponsorship and volunteer trips and teaching English. In 2008, she launched the Destiny center, and went on to fundraise the start-up capital from her own friends and family, to select a building and to find eligible survivors to employ. Prior to India, Becky was our College Program Director
Smarita Sengupta has partnered with TEN for the past four years, first in her role as Program Director for our partner Apne Aap, and now as the Destiny Program Director. Smarita is a gifted and experienced counselor, and brings compassion and expertise to every interaction with survivors.
