Lauren’s Story
For Lauren, walking through the front doors of the Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home was a life changing event:
“I entered the Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home to live with my Mom... I had been living with my Grandmother, while my other siblings were spread among other family members, my dad working full-time, and my mother learning recovery at the Fellowship Home.
Living in the Fellowship home with my mom was like living with older sisters or aunts. Everyone looked out for me. Eventually, my three siblings came along and there were other kids there too, living with their mom's. After all of my siblings & I were all together with my mom, it was like a huge family just looking out for each other. When we went back home as a family, we had already adjusted to one another so it was fairly easy. My mom is now three years clean & sober and still uses her recovery skills on a day-to-day basis. I am thankful for everyone in the Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship home for our growth and my family for sticking together when it was the hardest.” ~ Lauren
