Luis Quino - Projects Manager
Luis has worked in rural development for 8 years. A native of Antigua, Guatemala, he studied Art at San Carlos University, taught Spanish for Peace Corps as a Language and Culture Specialist, and ran the Rafael Landivar Library in Antigua. His skills and experience as a trainer ensure communities take ownership of their libraries, and that Riecken’s standards of excellence in programs are met.
Jackelline Alvarez - Creative Programs Coordinator
Born in Guatemala City, Jackie has led youth leadership programs in 4 Central American countries. As a trainer at the “School for Facilitators in Creativity and Innovation” she has managed workshops affecting hundreds of youth community leaders. She studied at Modesto College in California in Health and Agriculture, and earned her Teachers degree with Honors at San Carlos University in Guatemala
Alba Estrada - Library Director for Chiché
Hailing from Chiché, Guatemala, Alba has a degree in Social Work from Rafael Landivar University, where she also served on the Student Board. Before assuming the role of Library Director for the Riecken Foundation in her home town, she was State Supervisor for the Ministry of Sports and Culture. Alba’s leadership has given Chiché its rich, dynamic reading program available for local for girls.
