We currently have 200 youth on our waiting list. CHF in Orlando needs to raise 90k to increase our bed capacity closer to our original levels. Please help us provide a sanctuary to more youth!
Unfortunately, budget cuts and the recent severe downturn in the economy; have forced CHF’s Orlando campus to reduce our intake levels to 20 beds. We are still committed to offering assistance to as many youth as possible. “These are kids who live in cardboard boxes,” said James M. Gress, executive director of CHF. “We help these youths put their lives together and look forward to a hopeful future.”
CHF provides meals, clean clothes, and a safe place to sleep for youth, including young moms with their babies. A young mother recently said “The staff at CHF genuinely cared about me and took care of my children and I like we were their own family."
Covenant House Florida in Orlando is looking to raise 90k to increase their shelter bed capacity closer to our original levels. This will allow us to provide 3,600 more days of care to over 120 more runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth.
