It was very great moments for children as they took their time to have small games and plays. The games which are held at Geta play ground bring more than 73 children from across Geta. The events aim at helping different children who were affected by the post election violence to heal. As the game are on children share their feelings and requested to continually host this events for them. As Maria says “Haki mimi nina furaha kucheza na watoto wengine. Najisikia kuwa uhuru na mwepesi sasa. Naeza enda shule na nisome zaidi” (surely am very happy playing with other children. Am feeling being free and light now.i can go to school and work extra hard). Maria was saying these inspiring words in swahili. We are very happy that the children are getting on well.

Today more than 31 young people were counselled and trained on how to take their live positive and change their attitudes. Majority of the children trained are going to sit for their Kenya certificate of primary education at the end of the year. The exams determines their fate in joining seconday schools. The training was meant to draw their attention and put them to positivel judge things and their studies in developmental manner. "Am realy happy of the training as am one of thge children given the opportunity to participate in the East Africa cup festival in Moshi Tanzania. i have been guided in a very good way and now i am changing my attitude towards others and my education. am sure i will do well and be able to join secondary school. Thanks for Juhudi and those who continually support your work" said Nyakundi.

Having undergone the challenge of violence, majority of over 50 children who have been counseled has really captured the training very well. Children have been able to talk openly on how they have been feeling of the other children and community that attacked them. “Am happy for this great exercise that has helped me to be the way I am now. I feel good and taken care off. I have been feeling very bad with negative attitude towards my friends from the other community. More of this will bring us together as children and we will be able to live as one family. Thank you for the support. Am happy that we played together and sung good songs” This was a great message from one participant who attended the counseling sessions.
