Main Library Building

This building has a leaking roof that needs extensive repair, better still, a total replacement. Total repainting with mould-resistant semi-gloss paints. 34 equal-sized windows and 6 small equal-sized windows need to be replaced

Louvre Windows of the Library

At optimal performance louvre blades admit water resulting in humidity and mould, heat making it too hot,rain clumped all books together, dust break down lignin in books, wood frames harbour termites,direct ultraviolet rays fade the books and destroy archival materials and archived documents

Showing rust

This is the best environmental protection the current windows give. They do not close at all because of the rust. Unsafe practice of burglary-proof has to be replaced with safer thermal heavy-duty windows

Current Library furniture

Totally unsafe and insufficient. Untreated wood is easily damaged. We want to replace the tables with the type that has no privacy shield and can convert to discussion table, educational board game tables on Saturday mornings. Research shows that tweens and teens do not want a totally quiet environment
