4,000 tween and teen boys and girls of Christ's School, Ado-Ekiti Nigeria get 2 functional youth-friendly libraries restored in style following a twenty-year water-destruction of the old library

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

4000 boys and girls of ages 10-19 will get another chance to travel the world in a comfortable seat in the library, their horizon will broaden and will no longer be limited to classroom instructions. Limited access of Academic and non-academic staff with family, guest patron from other schools,children of visiting alumni . Students will be able to foster their interest, see innovations in arts, sciences and social disciplines. Improved social skills for students, gender equalisation, competition

How will this project solve this problem?

We have 40,000 books and bookshelves, floors are tiled, locks/doors installed, active magazine subscriptions, educational board games purchased.We need the roof & windows replaced, building re-painted, library furniture replaced,some computers. End!

Potential Long Term Impact

More professionals in sciences and arts. More innovators and entrepreneurs. Gender opportunities equalisation, poverty eradication; increased philantropy. Ability to earn college credits get a trade certificate along with high school diploma.
