I once again would to like to thank you for the support that you have given us on this project. PAAJAF seriously needs your help to resume this project. Due to the lack of funding to pay allowarces for the facilitators, paying utilites etc, the project has been on hold.
The purpose of the Education for People in Ghana (family learning project) is to set up adult literacy classes that will take place out of regular school hours to tackle the high levels of adult illiteracy that traps families in extreme poverty. The project aims to create an environment in which adult literacy participants bring their children so their children too have an opportunity to learn. This project intends to create generational learning ability for both children and adults in the community in order to increase community togetherness. It is also meant to develop the natural potential of children and their families. By empowering adults through learning, they will be able to pass along the need to learn onto their children and be able to help their children with their school projects and homework. The project will also create an opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children. Parents and legal guardians will be encouraged to learn together with their children so that they are able to understand the demands of the education system.
Dear Friends of PAAJAF,
PAAJAF has been able improve lives of many families. Prior to participation in the project, a lot of adult participants could not write their names, access information written in English (such as health information) or perform transaction requiring knowledge of English (such as opening of a bank account). With the help of PAAJAF, this problem was partly eliminated. However, we need to continue working in this direction and in order to succeed in it, Visit our website to read more about www.paajaf.org also read our 2010 report : http://paajaf.org/our-report . We are respectfully asking you for help, with the budget of $11,180, PAAJAF has raised an amount of $20.
PAAJAF still in hardship to run its project family learning programme that based on adult education.
The Family Learning is about creating opportunities for families to be creative, have fun and learn together. It can connect generations, strengthen communities and put a match to the potential of children and families. It is an empowering process: parents gain an insight of how their children learn and how they can help their own children at home in everyday activities.
Parents know their children best and it is important to build on that knowledge. Parents and children spend quality time together and it enables parents to access other adult learning opportunities. Family including Literacy and Numeracy, helping adult with Reading and Writing:
