What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Equipping women from all backgrounds with the necessary education, skills & support systems to be business leaders & entrepreneurs is one of the most important means to ensuring economic growth in the developing world. Investing in programs to prepare women for sustainable livelihoods increases the potential for economic development at local & national levels. How will this project solve this problem?
The project provides each graduate of CEDPA’s leadership training programs with experienced and supportive senior women coaches to offer guidance, encouragement and technical support throughout a yearlong coaching relationship.
Potential Long Term Impact
Investing in women’s management, leadership & programmatic abilities strengthens their institutions’ capacity to implement & expand high quality, replicable programs, which, in turn, equips larger numbers of women to participate in local economies.
