Project provides women leaders from the global south with professional coaching support from their peers to help them overcome performance barriers and strengthen community based development efforts.
Equipping women from all backgrounds with the necessary education, skills & support systems to be business leaders & entrepreneurs is one of the most important means to ensuring economic growth in the developing world. Investing in programs to prepare women for sustainable livelihoods increases the potential for economic development at local & national levels. CEDPA's coaching program provides a much needed support system for women advancing women’s economic empowerment in developing countries.
The project provides each graduate of CEDPA’s leadership training programs with experienced and supportive senior women coaches to offer guidance, encouragement and technical support throughout a yearlong coaching relationship.
Investing in women’s management, leadership & programmatic abilities strengthens their institutions’ capacity to implement & expand high quality, replicable programs, which, in turn, equips larger numbers of women to participate in local economies.
