The children in our coaching classes are grateful to you.
Moideen, Shajahan and Faridha are in the tenth standard. Tenth Standard is a crucial stage in one's life as one have to write the Government Exam. The marks scored in this exam decides the major subject one can choose for higher studies. While Faridha's parents work as construction workers for daily wages, Moideen and Shajahan have only their grandmother to take care of them.
Faridha's parents could not help her in her studies as they are engrossed with their daily chores and when they return from work they are much tired to coach Faridha. On the other hand Moideen and Shajahan's grandmother could not coach them as she is an illiterate. The children were finding it tough before joining the coaching class. But now they have their loving coach to help them in their studies.
Listen to the words of Faridha: "Maths is a subject which I was afraid of a lot. I had a thought that I could never pass that subject. But after joining the coaching class, my fear for Maths is gone and the coaching class teacher clarifies my doubts. Now I am confident of passing the subject with a minimum of 60% marks. This will help me in joining the Computer Science course which I love much."
Same is the case with Moideen and Shajahan. These three children are sincerely preparing for their government exams and we are sure their hard work will help them score good marks. The other children who are in the coaching class will face the same in a year or so and the coaching class will continue to support them to face the competition with confidence.
Our efforts matched by your noble support keeps the classes functioning. Kindly continue to support these children who otherwise may waste their after school hours and may get diverted. Their future is in your hands. Also spread words to your like-minded friends and relatives. It carries weight than ours.
Thank you once again.
Thank you for the continued support given by you to these poor children have coaching for their studies.
Abdul (name changed) was picking up rags all through the day for a wage of Rs.10/- and was happy with that. He was spotted by the New Life team and was admitted to the special school for child labourers run by New Life. After two years he was admitted to regular school and also in the coaching class run for children like Abdul who needs coaching which their family could not give. Now he is in 7th standard, confident of getting good scores and of a good future.
Children who are poor, deprived, who had been child labourers and now going to regular schools are being supported by the supplementary education (coaching) classes run by New Life. These children will otherwise find it difficult to study or do their homeworks as their parents (who are illiterates or less literates) after their long hours of hard work cant coach them. But for these evening classes, they will be wandering or playing in the streets.
We thank you dear donors, who have contributed in conducting these classes. We also request you to spread words to your friends and relatives, and help us continue this project and benefit more and more children.

Dear Donors,To support the children going to school and who cant be guided by their parents in their studies, supplementary classes are being conducted in the slums of Kodappu and Kajapettai. It benefits the school goers from the 4th standard to 10th standard. These children have attended the Joy of Giving Programme conducted by the Students of National Institute of Technology (NIT), a renowned Engineering college in Trichirappalli. During that time, the wishes of the coaching class children were collected and given to the NIT students. They in turn presented the children with their wishes and that function was celebrated in New Life office. The children were given emergency lights, toys, cricket bat and ball, volley ball, notebooks, story books, bags, shoes, watches etc. The children who attended the function were so happy that their long time dreams have come true. The pongal day, a famous festival was celebrated in Kodappu, by our coaching class students. They organized a gala function where the children and their parents performed dances. Certificates were issued to the coaching class children who participated in the Play Mela conducted in the month of October 2013. The function was a grand success. The children have written their annual exams now and are waiting for their results. We thank you, dear donors for supporting this cause and helping these poor, deprived children to continue their education. Kindly spread words about the cause you believe in and help us pay the salary of the teachers who do this great work. Thank you.

Hilton(name changed), called me just now to inform that he bought a new two-wheeler. I am so happy to see him as the proud owner of a two-wheeler, who, 8 years ago was struggling to find a support to continue his education.
Hilton's father was a rowdy and when he fell ill nobody was ready to support his family. Hilton's mother started earning by sweeping a hospital and she had three daughters who were unmarried. It was difficult for her to feed the children and she could not spend for the boy who wanted to continue his studies. New Life was conducting supplementary education (coaching) classes for the children in their locality and Hilton approached us.
The teacher admitted him in the class and he was financially supported by the organisation to continue his studies. Hilton successfully completed his schooling due to the support from the supplementary education class teacher and of course his efforts. Then he continued to study with the scholarship given by New Life and came out with flying colours in his under graduate examination. Now he is working in a company as Accounts Clerk and is confident of redeeming all the debts borrowed by his family so far. We feel very happy to see his progress.
Hilton says that if he was not supported by New Life when he was in class IX, he would now be roaming in streets, and anxiously says "Who knows? I too would have turned to be a person in conflict with law".
So many such children are being coached in our Supplementary education class. In the month of November, the students from NIT, a famous engineering college in Trichy wanted to gift these children in the supplementary education class with their wishes. And we had a gala get together in the NIT campus and the children participated in many competitions and got many prizes. On November 20th, we had a function in our office, where the children were gifted with their wishes. It is great to see that most of the children wished for things that will help them in their studies.
We, thank you dear donors for supporting the children like Hilton to become good citizens and lead a decent living.
