One example: EESI's Congressional briefing on serious health and climate effects of black carbon emissions and opportunities to reduce them, was a key building block to US leadership and the now 21-nation agreement to reduce emissions of soot, methane and hydroflurocarbons
Ned Stowe - Policy Associate, Sustainable Biomass and Energy Program
Ned explores the roles sustainable bioenergy, agriculture & forestry can play in addressing climate, energy, environmental, and economic challenges. Ned writes a weekly newsletter, Sustainable Bioenergy, Farms & Forests (http://www.eesi.org/sbff). He has organized briefings on topics including advanced biofuels, renewable fuel standard, sustainable biomass production and Farm Bill energy programs.
Ellen Larson Vaughan - Policy Director, High Performance Green Buildings
Ellen develops information on best practices and innovative solutions to help policymakers and building industry professionals make decisions supporting environmental, economic and social sustainability. Ellen worked in the building and Engineering industries for 21 years. She was a moving force with Sustainable Buildings Industry Council's predecessor, promoting a holistic approach to buildings.
