I Was Transformed By A Good Samaritan's Efforts

By a male, under 16 years old, in Kakamega, Kenya
Map of I WAS TRANSFORMED BY A GOOD SAMARITAN'S EFFORTS My name is Murefu. I have lived on the streets in Kakamega for the last 10 years. I was abandoned in Kakamega town while I was still a small boy of about 5 years. My parent who I am told was the last to handle me was my mother and she must have got tired of me to abandon me because she had no capacity to continue supporting me. I was almost dying of hunger when a good Samaritan picked me. She took me to hospital, hospitalized me and later brought me up for one year. I lost my chance in that home when I stole and was sent away only to end up on the streets. In 2009 a social worker from WEAEP took me to a rehabilitation Centre that has done all it could to transform me once more. Read more.
