Summary

This project will sensitize and educate the population on how to disinfect latrines and treat drinking water from wells.Disinfectants and chlorine will be provided and local water filters built .

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Currently there is a severe cholera outbreak in the far northern region of Cameroon recording over 300 deaths. In spite of prompt government actions the pandemic is spread to two other regions with the Litoral region being close to the southwest region, Project is meant to inform our region of the spread of the pandemic and teach the populations basic prevention methods and help in treating their drinking water and pit toilets which are major sources of the spread.Project covers 5 border towns .

How will this project solve this problem?

Chameg will sensitize and educate communities of the spread of the pandemic, We shall procure disinfectants to treat drinking water and pit toilets,buy cutlasses to clean bushes around streams used for drinking and give basic health and hygiene tips

Potential Long Term Impact

Project will educate and provide information to 5 vulnerable border towns having more than 300,000 persons of the pandemic and teach them basic prevention methods through hygiene and sanitation trainings.Awareness created will prevent more deaths.
