Summary

The Fund is supporting our partners' efforts to provide emergency relief after the devastating earthquake. Proceeds will be allocated amongst partners providing food/water, shelter, and medical care.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

A massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile early on Feb 27, abut 200 miles from the capital of Santiago and 70 miles from the country's second largest city, Concepcion. Damage is extensive, hundreds have died, and millions have been displaced.

How will this project solve this problem?

Through GlobalGiving's partners on the ground, this fund will provide victims of the earthquake with critical necessities including water, food, shelter, and medical care. More details will be provided as they are available.

Potential Long Term Impact

Through short-term relief, and then long term rebuilding, this fund will help victims recover from this devastating natural disaster.
