We used to celebrate our families and friend´s birthdays with parties and joy. Children from Turbo taught us that the planet also deserves a celebration; they planned the best party ever to celebrate the world water day.
Four of the main schools from Turbo gathered up to the big celebration. Each school presented an act to honor the water; there were all kind of creative shows: eco-news, theatrical plays, readings and chants. They used all their imagination to tell the world why the water is important to them, they put it in acts and also in words, and they wrote messages expressing their feelings.
We were amazed by the excitement of everyone! On the world water day we realized that the children are learning to appreciate things that grown-ups have not been able to, ensuring that children will grow up as responsible citizens that who will take care of our planet.
