2011 was such a great year; we had the opportunity to create a place where our children could dream a world of their own. Parents, teachers, and especially the boys and girls from Turbo worked together through all the year and used their imagination to create all the things that Children´s Land needed, including an office!
With their own space, and once they decided by themselves how Children´s Land will be organized, the learning process started. The first subject the children chose was recycling, all they learned they have tried to implemented in their homes, at school and in their community. This is only one part of the big plan, soon the boys and girls will know a lot and will be able to protect their land, their environment, their planet.
Even we’re happy with the work done so far, we are aware that is necessary to keep improving our skills to give the children the best. Having that in mind parents and teachers gathered up to design strategies that could help us to motivate the boys and girls, the young people, and even the grown-ups. This planning meeting was also used to raise some ideas about the work to do during this coming year.
Our biggest wish is that every child, parent and teacher feels the importance that each one brings to the project and that over time the children learn the importance of care and protect our planet!
