CHR, is looking for sponsors and donors who can support 126 orphans and Vulnerable children to attain education, Health care, Feeding at school and vocational skills training. These orphans& OVCs, lost their parents as a result of HIV/AIDS that struck this community being on trans-boarder highway. These children are have lost hope,no food to put in their stomachs and if supported they will go to school.They really support to make a permanent finger print in these children's lives.
This community's most challenge is HIV/AIDS. It has robbed many families leaving many children as orphans, woman as widows.This community is located along the route connecting to Tanzania and many travelers use this community as a stopping center as a result there serious effects of this like prostitution on increase,child prostitution,unwanted pregnancies & children born whose mothers fail to know the right father.Leaving orphans who don't access education, medical care,and who are homeless.
The project will provide an orphanage home to the homeless children, feed these orphans & take them to school and access education.Provide medical care to the sickly and diseased children. We will set up a vocational skills training center for livelihood skills training and to older/big children who were unfortunate to start school at an early age and now feel like they over age to start formal schooling We will set drama group of these orphans to sensitize their community about HIV/AIDS.
We will educate 126 orphans & will be able to sustain them selves, There will a reduction on HIV/AIDS spread , A healthy generation will be raised, social crimes will be done away with like prostitution, child prostitution, vagabonds will be no more. There will be self reliance as a result of vocational skills training attained. There be no more homeless will be no more. The 126 orphans& OVCs will benefit directly from the project and the community here approximately 7,000 people will benefit.
