Summary

FG's Chain Reaction: Empower college students to be changemakers who run non-profit delis on their campus. 100% of their profits are invested in the end of hunger and a new dialogue is fostered.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Think outside the box: FG empowers college students as changemakers who run their own non-profit delis specializing in gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. The delis are a vehicle for 1) students to become social entrepreneurs 2) empowering self-reliance by investing 100% of the profits in programs sustainably eradicating poverty and 3) to engage their generation as global citizens. Students earn their investment capital for the growth of their social enterprise by engaging in Cheese World.

How will this project solve this problem?

Cheese World is FG's innovative incentive program. Students can earn "cheese points" by completing educational and leadership challenges. These points translate into investment capital for their personal development and deli growth.

Potential Long Term Impact

Every point earned is a result of a student's hard work and leadership. By investing in the "cashing" of points you are investing in our youth's ability to end hunger. For every $1 invested in FG, $1.20 is invested in ending hunger

Project Message

"Empower the students as changemakers, then get out of the way. They will do incredible things."
- Prof. Jim Austin, Harvard Business School Professor
