Summary

We provide the support needed, through safe housing assistance, legal assistance and workshops, for thousands of women experiencing an abusive and unhealthy relationship to build better lives.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Thousands of women and families experience some form of unhealthy and abusive relationships every day. At Fresh Start Women’s Foundation we see women who need to escape these dangerous situations, but often don’t know how. Through the resources provided at the Women’s Resource Center we are able to assist these women in making that crucial transition in their life and empower them to create better paths for themselves.

How will this project solve this problem?

By educating women on signs of abusive relationships, they gain the tools needed to create better lives. “While fighting for child custody from our abuser, I took the “Healthy Families” seminar. These seminars transformed both my son and my life.”

Potential Long Term Impact

The services provided at Fresh Start will empower and educate over 650 women to remove themselves, and their families, from dangerous domestic situations and give them a new chance at a better life.

Project Message

“Fresh Start Women’s Foundation offers so much support to women in need. Without them, I shudder to think where I’d be, where my daughters would be. They gave us hope and a new, healthier life.”
