CCEdFund will provide ambitious and dedicated students with scholarships to exceptional schools in Cambodia for at least two years. CCEdFund's students are impoverished or orphaned Cambodian students who have no other access to school without a CCEdFund scholarship.
CCEdFund's students in Phnom Penh are Cambodian children who grew up on a massive garbage dump outside of Phnom Penh. They spent their days picking through trash, and living on the dump. They earned less than a dollar a day. With no access to school, the girls believed they would scavenger for their lifetimes. However, they were "adopted" by an NGO that provides them with food, shelter, and health care. After one year with the NGO, their independent study made them ready for scholarships with us
Since the students passed their entrance exams, once funded, CCEdFund will provide tuition and enrollment scholarships for the girls to attend the school. To ensure their success, CCEdFund will work directly with the school to monitor their progress.
CCEdFund's students commit to work in Cambodia's public interest for at least two years after they complete their studies. By providing educational opportunities to students who otherwise have none, CCEdFund is redeveloping a class of leaders.
"Establishing lasting peace is the work of education; all politics can do is keep us out of war."
