Vehicle to Transport Disabled Kids in Haiti

Because of your generosity, we are now better able to accomplish our mission of serving the most vulnerable children in Haiti.  The vehicle you helped us purchase and maintain is a vital part of our daily work.

 Today, Mercy & Sharing:

• Feeds over 2000 people per day
• Educates over 1000 children per day
• Cares full time for over 120 orphans; half of whom are disabled
• Employees over 220 Haitians
• Provides clean water for over 1000 people per day

We are solely supported by the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations and we receive no government funding.  Our Directors contribute more than 100% of U.S. administrative expenses, so your donations go directly to helping kids in Haiti. 

The heart of our organization is Mercy & Sharing Village.  It has been my dream for 18 years to have a safe haven for vulnerable children!  On 17 walled acres 30 miles from Port-au-Prince, we operate three orphanage buildings, a primary school, a vocational training program, and host a Christian worshiping community.  On this campus, 121 orphans live full time, 200 students from the local community attend school, 50 adults receive vocational training and 150 families come to get clean drinking water.  Half of the orphans at Mercy & Sharing Village are disabled.  This is why we have recently completed a Rehabilitation and Therapy Center to provide for their special needs.

Our focus is simple: to provide the best care we can for children today while creating opportunity for them to become independent tomorrow.

We are so excited to share with you a picture of the vehicle Mercy & Sharing was able to purchase because of your generosity!

This truck has the extended cab and payload bed we need to transport children and supplies AND the rugged design necessary to endure the difficult roadways in and around Port-au-Prince.  The vehicle will reside at Mercy & Sharing Village where we care for 120 orphans (half of whom are disabled) and have a school for 250 students.

Any NEW donations you make to this project will be used for maintenance and fuel for this vehicle.
