Map of Kurdos Global Alliance Global Alliance for Africa is an organization that was founded withthe core objective of touching a life.It has therefore started many programs including establishing community libraries,microfinance activities and sponsorship among others. The most succesful program has been that of microfinance.They give grants to the residents and facilitate business development.The borrowers then repay the money after aperiod of six months and with an intrest of 6% this has help to boost family income.the effect has been improved living standard that has neccesitated health,education and security of the residents among other posible impacts. Lunaya Association

Map of LUNAYA ASSOCIATION In 5 years ago before the elections in 2007 we had a an organization in Shinyalu contituency called 'LUNAYA'. I was there since I was born in 1993 at Lugala village. It used to organize some sports during december holidays on boxing day 26th at Lugala primary field. It use to unit people of Kugala community as well as other people from Shinyalu. People like Mr. George Murila was responsible for it. In the year 2006 'LUNAYA' went on to support puppils who passed K.C.P.E to join secondary school by paying for their first term fee in a high school. In the same year the organization gave a medical offer by providing doctors from varies hospitals including Kanyatta national hospital. They treated people free at Shibuye sub-location, Lugala and Ileho. It even offer to give wheelchair to people who could not walk and treated varies diseases and gave appropriate medicines to the victims. Well really thinks them for also contributing in building our Friends church at Lugala. Read more.

Giving Back To The Society

Map of GIVING BACK TO THE SOCIETY A former athlete started her own foundation to assist her community in issues that affect them such as education and cattle rustling. She built school for her community where the children should get quality education. She and her foundation are also involved in the disarming process in the community so as to increase peace within the community and its neighbouring community to reduce death of people and livestock rustling. She also has a project of marathon races where the community members come to compete in the races and the best are awarded prices such as cash that assist in uplifting their livelihood. In such gatherings in the community as during the marathon , the community members are also educated on the importance of peace and education. As a woman she brought change to her community though disarming the community is a challenge. The effort she has made has assisted the community to have some degree of peace while the children gain education which will empower them to have a better future change for the better. Read more.

The Food Prices Demonstration

Map of THE FOOD PRICES DEMONSTRATION The current situation in the world is proving to be so difficult.The food prices have gone up and the rate of inflation is going up in most parts of the world even the world's super power America has been experiencing some financial struggles and the situation here in Uganda was not different. The prices of commodities have gone up drastically and so each and everyday the possibilities of having a three day meal are going down.As a Kenyan student in Uganda,I have to try my best to minimise my spending but as for others,they take to the streets to demonstrate against the Ugandan government and all i have to do is sit down as the demonstrations get hot in the streets of Kampala with many getting arrested and beaten up but can all this demonstrations help though at times they do help so as to push the government to do something. Education And Health

Health Assistance

Map of Health assistance Health is a great issue that should be looked into with care and a lot of confidentiality.Bearing the high amount of money needed to catter for medical covers or even just medication,most people in kenya suffer silently with very dangerous infections/diseass that can otherwise be treated otr prevented. In Kibera,a church organisation (church of the rock)have developed and installed a programme of gathering for sick people within the slums.They have their centre where they treat sick people free of charge and also offer guidance services to those who are infected by dreadful diseases. This is a greater success as people flock the centre and come out lively. Read more.
