The Homeless World Cup is a unique, pioneering social enterprise which exists to end homelessness. It uses football to energise homeless people to change their own lives.
This project will provide travel funding to enable a national team from Cambodia to participate in the Paris 2011 Homeless World Cup from 21-28 August.
Your contribution to the Homeless World Cup will make an enormous difference for the players of the Cambodia. Supporting them would include accommodation and documentation to and from the Paris 2011 Homeless World Cup. The tournament has a long term impact on participants – it gives them a feeling of inclusion and empowerment. It allows them not only to experience a new country, but also allows them to connect and interact with homeless people from around the world.
In January 2011 came the news that Cambodia was one of 64 national teams selected to attend the Paris 2011 Homeless World Cup. This guaranteed a second consecutive appearance at the tournament, a testament to the hard work of HFCA and a clear statement of their intention to change lives through football.
