Over 1,600 sleepers from the technology and business communities will join Byte Night on Friday 3th October 2014 and “sleep-out” to brave the elements in Belfast, Cambridge, Edinburgh, London, Midlands, North West, South West and Thames Valley to help us reach our largest ever fundraising target of over £1.3 million across the UK. Since Byte Night began 17 years ago, we have now managed to raise an amazing £6.2 million and are hoping to break the £7 million mark this year.
Last year over 37 people from Dell slept out in London, Thames Valley and Edinburgh to raise over £13,000, generously donated by hundreds of people sponsoring them, so thank you for your continued support to help vulnerable children and young people across the UK at risk of youth homelessness.
Byte Night is the technology industry's annual sleep out in support of Action for Children and for over 17 years technology professionals have been changing young people's lives. Each year over a thousand individuals and teams from across the technology and business community spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children's work to help prevent youth homelessness. Action for Children helps to prevent youth homelessness through early intervention by ensuring that young people across the UK are given the support they need before it's too late. Thanks to you Action for Children has helped thousands more young people at risk of homelessness to build better lives by providing essential support, accommodation, education and training.
Many thanks for your support and for more information please visit www.bytenight.org.uk or email Nicola Bogle on Nicola_Bogle@DELL.com
