We are trying to help the dogs by giving them a safe transport anywhere they need to go. Having an SUV would be greatly beneficial to them because they would be secured safely inside a temperature controlled vehicle rather than riding in kennels in the back of a pick up truck.
We need a vehicle to safely transport the dogs to and from the veterinarian, adoption events, prospective new homes, fund raising activities, etc. We currently transport them in kennels in the bed of a pickup truck which can be dangerous. Not only that, the dogs are exposed to the elements of the weather. We would of course also need insurance for this SUV.
A SUV will allow us to transport them safely inside the vehicle. It will also allow the dogs to have a temperature controlled ride so they aren't exposed to the hot sun, the cold wind, or the rain. They will be secured more safely inside an SUV versus kennels in the back of a pick up truck which could turn over or be thrown from the bed.
We would like to purchase a used SUV with low mileage and one that is in good condition. This vehicle would need to be maintained with regular check ups, oil changes, etc to ensure it lasts for a long time to ensure safe transportation of the dogs. We will also need insurance.
