Sanejo, through the promotion of education, aims to support communities transiting from war to peace or facing abject poverty. To ensure that all children have a happy and safe place to learn, support is extended to local communities to reconstruct and expand schools. The Ntenyo Project is the primary community we are working in. We are working directly with the Ntenyo community to provide and promote quality education, healthcare, water, electricity, computer training and understanding.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

The Ntenyo Primary School currently educates 700 students in 6 dilapidated classrooms with limited resources and teacher training; resulting in a difficult educational environment for the learners. The Ntenyo community believes that education is the bridge for their children to access opportunity. The community have collectively identified educational improvements as the primary objective yet they continually lack the adequate resources to independently create a more robust learning environment

How will this project solve this problem?

Through the provision of financial support, our goal is to provide an educational environment that will empower the next generation of Rwandan children to rebuild their community and country and contribute to a future where basic needs will no longer be a luxury. Therefore, Sanejo is creating a sustainable environment that's conducive for improved knowledge, retention rates, and exam scores– both by providing teachers with resources for effective teaching and for youth to learn.

Potential Long Term Impact

A strengthened educational environment is a crucial aspect towards ensuring a more productive society. Education isn't a commodity to be used by only one. Rather, it is a resource that can be replicated time and again by leaking from person to person. Additionally, It equips children with the knowledge and skills needed to improve their own lives and carve out a more prosperous future for generations to come.
