This project is intended to boost the house hold incomes of300 people living with HIV/AIDS, care givers and HIV/AIDS Orphaned children through training, supporting, establishing of micro enterprises and providing Nutrition, Basic health care and educational requirements in Tororo District Uganda.
Tororo district is located in Eastern Uganda bordering with Kenya where over 600 truck drivers cross daily, resulting into high HIV/AIDS prevalence rate 6.9%. The end result has been transactional and cross generation sex leading to high incidence rate of HIV/AIDS. Poverty and HIV/AIDS are closely related and create a vicious cycle of illness, impoverishment in low-income and high-risk communities.
This project will provide start up capital to to initiate small and micro enterprises, training on entreprenuship, training on nutrtion and dietry, provide scholastic materials to AIDS ophaned children for school, procure local milk processing unit, establish house hold back yard gardens, provide girls with sanitary pads.
we will educate 100 people living with AIDS both women and men on entreprenuship, allowing them to rise out of poverty so as they are sustainably in position to create household incomes to be in position to acquire basic necessities such as medication, food, scholastic materials for children in schools, housing and daily living expenses.
