Local Aquaponics Expert Joins Our Project

MPS Consulting Associates joins Robert and DeVanie Jackson at the Brooklyn Rescue Mission / Bed-Stuy farm to begin planning the early stages of our Brooklyn Aquaponics Center in Central Brooklyn. We toured the grounds with Martin P. Schreibman, Ph.D. Brooklyn College Professor Emeritus an expert in urban aquaculture and marine biology and began to create plans for the design and placement of our greenhouse which will house our aquaponics project.

We have also begun recruiting volunteers from our community and youth interns from our local Boys and Girls High School and have received a great response from our supporters. This aquaponics project will become a positive introduction to many neighborhood youth and help them to understand and partake in the green technology revolution that is impacting our lives every day.

Brooklyn Rescue Mission's assists Central Brooklyn residents to live healthier lives through urban agriculture, compassionate care programs and food and fitness advocacy.
