Toilets In Mathare

By a female, 22-30 years old, in Nairobi, Kenya
Map of TOILETS IN MATHARE Toilets are extremely important where people live because they manage waste and hence prevent diseases that can be caused by unhealthy standard or improper sewerage systems. In Mathare, there are very few toilets and even bathrooms despite the fact that they are few, you have to pay cash to use the toilets and this is really a burden to the residents since getting the cash is first a major challenge. Most people can not afford to pay for the service as toilets and bathrooms on a daily basis because some families are a large as ten people including children. People then resort to open gutters outside their houses as they have turned them into sewerage. Alternatively, others use what is popularly known as flying toilets which are equally dangerous to human health. Read more.
