BRAC's Girl Effect keeps growing!

The Girl Effect is growing and going strong in Tanzania!  With support from you, the Nike Foundation, and UNICEF, we now have a total of 180 ELA clubs in Tanzania with more than 6,500 girl members!

Here's the progress on the 20 clubs you've helped to fund:

  • 830 members and 20 mentors (one for each club)
  • All 830 members are now taking a life skills training course
  • 175 girls provided with livelihood training
  • 244 girls have formed microfinance clubs and taken out more than $37,000 in loans to help start and grow their business initiatives

Thanks for your continued support. It means the world - and the future - to these girls!

All the best,

Michelle
