I want to express my sincere love, gratitude and appreciation to all those who took part in the work of the foundation and supported our students. Within 11 years of our work, the circle of people who care about the children from Russian ophanages, is getting wider and wider. It includes our teachers, donors, volunteers, partners and friends. Thank you very much for your dedicated work and support!
Recently government started to show more attention to the children who have no parents or family. Many changes are taking place in the sphere of social care and education in our country nowadays, and it definitely affects orphans as well as the orphanages. Serious changes of the system are always hard to bare, especially for the participants of the process.
Of course, each party – government officials, orphanage staff, representatives of different NGOs have their own look and answer to the situation, but only by summing up our opinions in an active dialog, we can present holistic and objective picture.
I do believe that the quality of above mentioned communication and the aid of those who care are the two main things required to guarantee a better future for the children who were raised in the system of orphanages all over Russia.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
The 2012/2013 school year was busy yet exciting. Big Change had over 60 students taking classes on every day basis and over 20 young adults who participated in miscellaneous events of Big Change life. In October we celebrated our 10th Anniversary and held seminars and conferences, we participated in fundraising campaigns at the Anglo-American school and GlobalGiving, we received in-kind gifts from our corporate friends and finally had a Graduation party. Please enjoy reading our Newsletter and if you and/or your friends would like to support-volunteer-join our big family, you are more than welcome to send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
