Our Shipping Date is Approaching!

One bike can change a life...
Can you believe that our shipping date is so quickly approaching?! With your help and the help of all of our wonderful supporters, we are taking great strides to making our second shipment of bikes, and second project in Namibia, a reality. As the end of May is only a few short weeks away, we wanted to take the time to update you on some of the amazing events that we have been a part of during this busy season:
- We have raised over 200 bikes towards our 350-400 bicycle goal, and over $8,000 towards our $12,000 goal. THANK YOU!! We are nearly there! Please help spread the word as we push towards the finish line.
- During the past several months, two extraordinary volunteers have taken it upon themselves to individually raise bicycles and connect our B4H chapter with outside resources. We are so proud and humbled by the hard work of Betty Jean Jordan and Hayden Bartsch, and would love to introduce them to you on our blog!
- At B4H Georgia, we love collaborations. A lot. Last month we had the amazing opportunity to partner with our good friends at the BikeAthens Bike Recycling Program for a March bike drive. It is difficult to put into words the caliber of these folks and their organization, and we have been so privileged to have the opportunity to work with them since our beginnings. We raised 15 bicycles to add to the May shipment! If you are ever in Athens, please stop by and give them a holler...they'll set you up with an excellent refurbished bike that also supports low-income Athenians.
- Speaking of partners, the lovely people at Crooked Creek Storage in Alpharetta, GA, where all of our bicycles are waiting patiently for shipment, have graciously offered to function as a drop-off location for donated bicycles. Spectacular, yes?! We thought so, too. So, if you have been meaning to dust off that old bicycle and donate it towards our next shipment to Namibia, simply swing by their office during business hours and they will be happy to accept it for us. Easy as you please.
Last, but not least, we want to extend our gratitude to you --our partners, funders and supporters-- for making this project possible. Davis and I and our small team of volunteers could not do anything if it weren't for you. We are so grateful to be on the journey together!
Peace and love from us and ours to you and yours -
Mary
