Better Health for 100 HIV affected families

May 31, 2012

I hope this finds you well. Thank you for giving towards our food security programme for those infected with HIV, orphans and vulnerable children. We have managed to raise USD629 dollars so far.

The owner of the land that we intend to purchase with part of the funds raised was gracious enough to allow us to use the land during this planting season. However, she is now anxious as to when the first payment will be made as an early May deadline passed without us having the funds to put down the required deposit of USD 4500. This land is very crucial to the success of our food security programme.

We also want to share some good news with you. After reading our project appeal, friends at the Cypress Valley Bible Church got in touch with Water 4 foundation about digging for us a well. They will be coming in August to help with our water situation. We still need to buy water tanks for storage but this sure does give us a big boost forward.

We would like to ask you to approach your friends and ask them to give to help us reach our target of USD6500 for the land as soon as possible. We need it, even more now because the team coming to help us find water has enquired on how much land we have. In their estimation the half acre we currently have is not enough of a test area considering we have two pit latrines in different sections of the land which increases the risk of cross contamination. They have advised us to do our best to acquire this extra acre which will greatly increase our chances due to the nature of the geological structure in our area.

Please invite others to give to this much needed project and thank you once again for giving to this project.

kind regards

Catherine Muteti
