Father Joe Maier, a Redemptorist Catholic Priest, has lived among the poor in Thailand since 1967. As the Parish Priest of the poorest Catholics in Bangkok - those who slaughtered the pigs in the city slaughterhouse, Fr. Joe started a school for the children in his Parish, and then dozens more throughout the city for poor children of all faiths.
John has served in communications and development for the Human Development Foundation since 2000.
