Preparing Bikes for Shipment
Preparing bikes for shipment in Athens, Georgia after a September 2010 bike drive.
Bike Preparation Lessons
In order to fit as many bicycles into the shipping container as possible, it's important to make the bikes as slim as possible. At a local bike drive in Georgia, volunteers are taught how to turn handle bars and remove pedals.
Volunteer Driven
B4H GA is funded and run on donor support and volunteer staff. Our volunteers are trained in many facets of fundraising, logistics, and most importantly on bicycle handling and preparation for shipment. Here one of our wonderful volunteers removes the pedals off of a child's bicycle for shipment.
