Dear Friends of Amnicon,
Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers and support of the ministry of this camp and all who come to it, as campers, as staff, as visitors.
Camp is a quiet place this time of year. The trees are bare and the cold winter is slowly creeping in. But from time to time we are joined by retreat and hermitage guests that bring more warmth and energy than we know what to do with! Fall at Amnicon is a wonderful site to behold.
The transition from our summer program to the retreat season has gone smoothly and now we are blessed to look back on the lives we have touched throughout the busy tripping season. Through the thoughtful giving of people like you, we were able to use campership funds to help over 100 young people see the image of God through wilderness experiences. For many this was their first opportunity to feel like a loved and valued member of a community.
As we look ahead to to the coming seasons the need for enriching the lives of the impoverished becomes strikingly evident. Camp Amnicon is host to a number of retreats for the homeless or those that are considered "at-risk". Providing large healthy meals, an environment of care and bellies full of laughter. A brief respite that makes a lasting difference in so many lives.
Because of your ongoing support, Amnicon continues to make new collaborations as well as maintain consistent relationships over many years. Many of those from these groups would not be able to afford an experience at Amnicon without the loving support and financial contributions of caring donors like you. Be assured your donation fosters profound differences in the lives of our individual campers as well as the larger communities where they will return.
Thank you again for your generous support!
