Provide creative holistic arts integration (CHAI) Life Arts programs including meals, mentoring, and educational support for youth and families in need in Brooklyn, NY. The programs encourage creative thinking, personal responsibility, career development, environmental awareness, and positive self-images - all which increase student's chances at self-sufficiency & long-term success. Mentors, field trips & guest speakers increase relevancy and exposure to careers via the arts.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Low-income, foster care and at-risk youth are on a 'cradle to prison' pathway that costs more than the educational solutions to fix it. By providing a safe space to utilize art as a creative thinking tool to improve educational and career development, this project takes action to halt the "cradle to prison" scenario for youth and empowers them towards successful future.

ASI provides a safe space in Brooklyn, NY for youth and families in need to receive nutrition, a gratitude journal, sketchbook, art supplies, mentors, field trips, art skills, wellness/stress-reduction exercises, life skills, etiquette, career development, environmental awareness and educational support.
Potential Long Term Impact
ASI provides a safe space for programs utilizing art as a creative thinking tool for learning and career path development.
