Began career in 1994 as state inspector of rare and endangered species, including Amur tiger. Organized anti-poaching patrols and solicited involvement of Russian law enforcement agencies, as well as regional and international NGOs; Director of Phoenix Fund since 1999; supervises staff of five people.
Well-experienced law enforcement officer. Worked ten years as member of Khasansky anti-poaching interdepartmental team within Inspection Tiger; specially trained to use MIST to collect data during anti-poaching patrols. At present – Head of anti-poaching team of Leopardovy Wildlife Refuge.
A former officer of Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service with four-year experience in wildlife management and seven-year work as Inspection Tiger officer. He graduated from the Technical College. Also, Andrei is a fourth-year student of the Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University. At the moment, Andrei works as inspector in Leopardovy Wildlife Refuge.
