Economic Boosting

By a female, under 16 years old, in Kakamega North, Kenya
Map of ECONOMIC BOOSTING There is a Self Help Group that my mother is a member of in Kakamega North which is performing very brilliantly. By name it is Jisaidie Support Group. Being a member since 2001, Mary Daniel(my mother) who is the sole bread winner in our family has been able to be strengthened in her capacity. Through the joint ventures and development initiatives of farming especially growing of sugarcane, they have moved a step. Through merry go round and since some of their members are HIV infected, the attention of this Group also focuses on the upkeep of such and orphans. The widows too like my mother receive appropriate care. My mother has credited herself with funds(loans) from the same that did enable my siblings and I to pursue our studies. We have benefitted thus. Read more.
