This project aims at providing care for 350 children caught in the interwoven cycle of poverty and HIV/AIDS in rural Uganda to live a healthier life
Across 10 rural villages in Jinja District, 350 children orphaned by HIV/AIDS were found in pathetic living conditions. The children have 1 or 2 sets of cloths in terrible state, have no form of bedding -they sleep on the floor using old potato sacks as mattresses and blankets, receive 1 meal a day, and hardily go to school due to lack of fees and other facilities to support schooling. We need to educate them, feed them, house them, clothe them and provide medical care for them.
We seek to address the needs of 350 disadvantaged children including facilitating their access to primary and secondary education, providing home-based child care distributing appropriate clothing and bedding to needy children
The project will provide 350 children with basic necessities to address their developmental needs throughout their childhood and live up to their full potential.
