Ashley is the founder of AfricAid. She first journeyed to Tanzania with her family in 1996 at the age of eleven. Struck by the poverty she saw while there, particularly among children her own age, she became determined to do something to help. She founded AfricAid in 2001. As AfricAid’s Program Director, she is responsible for the development and oversight of AfricAid’s programs in Tanzania.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
