Summary
Many families face huge obstacles when it comes to educating their children with special needs. Join The Drive For Rebecca in helping parents become more powerful advocates to help their children.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Help thousands of children with special needs by helping their parents to have a stronger voice. Many families are at a tremendous disadvantage when they don’t know their rights - the children become victims of a form of unintentional child abuse by the school systems. This happens to hard working single moms, to families with two working parents who barely have time to see their kids, and when English is a second language. Advocacy For All will help make sure these kids don't get left behind.
How will this project solve this problem?
Advocacy For All helps provide free telephone hotlines and online services, and free copies of The Special Needs Parent Handbook to low income families. Help children to reach their potential with the best possible education by helping their parents.
Potential Long Term Impact
Advocacy For All will help thousands of children with special needs get the best education by helping make sure their parents know their rights. The long-term goal of Advocacy For All is to offer free advice to all US families in need of assistance.
Project Message
"Kids with special needs are at a huge disadvantage when their parents don't know their rights or are unable to advocate for the best education. Let's not leave these children behind."
